Do parents have any involvement in our Behaviour Therapy programmes?
Are you wondering if you will need to get stuck in to your child’s behaviour therapy?
We can tell you that the answer is yes. It is vital that parents are involved in the programme.
Parents and family are key to ensuring generalisation of skills, making sure that each target their child learns becomes functional and thus helping to improve the quality of the family life as a whole.
In fact, the more involvement the better. We of course understand a family's need of full time working parents and as part of the service your consultant will support you and your family with your individual circumstances.
Below is a list of the day-to-day maintenance parents can help with a programme:
Ensuring the consistent following of behaviour plans and communication methods being taught.
Make materials; e.g -printing, laminating, photocopying sheets in support of administrative tasks carried out by speech & Behaviour specialists.
Collect data/ video on newly appear behaviour(s) that you would like the team to work on.
