Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the answers to some of the frequently asked questions we receive.

If you have more questions, head over to our website and fill out our submission form detailing what it is you are after and we will be in touch.

Q: English is not my first language. How can I start services?

A: Under our Accessibility Policy, we can provide information in different forms, such as another language, large print, easy-to-read materials...etc. For phone calls, we ask that you have a friend or relative who can speak English fluently to converse with us over the phone. We also recommend applying for an interpreter to translate back and forth for you over the phone.

Q: We are a religious family. Do we need to adapt our beliefs or lifestyle when we receive services?

A: Inclusion and diversity are two of our company’s values. We work with children and families from all faiths and backgrounds. We respect everyone’s faith and lifestyles. However, we may ask you to make small changes to your home environment or daily routine to promote pro-social behaviours or reduce barrier behaviours, but this should not conflict with your faith and will only be done once discussed with and agreed by you.

Q: What if my child is younger than 2 years old or is an young adult. Can you still help?

A: Yes, absolutely! Some of our Consultants have experience working with 1+ year olds and/ or young adults. If your local consultants do not have the experience working with a client of your child’s age, we will arrange a Consultant in another team with experience to provide supervision.

Q.Will your assessment tell me if my child has ASD/ADHD?

A: No. Our assessment is to determine what your child’s skills and barriers to learning are,so that we can set bespoke therapy targets and strategies for the intervention. If our assessors see behaviour traits that are associated with neurodevelopmental condition(s), they will let you know when they give you the assessment results.
