Occupational therapy session
Occupational therapy
Occupational therapy and sensory therapy helps children to have better understanding and regulation of their own senses so that they are more receptive to learning.
Our occupational therapist can work with your child to teach new skills and implement a sensory diet if needed. The OT will first assess your child and then create an individualised plan of treatment. Over the course of treatment the OT will gradually makes activities more challenging and complex for your child. Through repetition, your child’s nervous system will respond in a more “organised” way to sensations and movement and learn new skills.
